We Have Formed a Business Partnership with Fukuoka-based Athena Tax Corporation

BizWings (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has formed a business partnership with Athena Tax Corporation in Fukuoka. For consultations on Japanese companies expanding into Thailand and on the operation of their Thai subsidiaries, Athena Tax Corporation handles accounting and tax matters on the Japanese side, while BizWings handles accounting, tax matters and day-to-day corporate operations on the Thai side. The two firms work as a single team, sharing information throughout.



In the operation of Japanese overseas subsidiaries, decisions made in Japan and local operations often proceed separately, which leads to delayed adjustments and rework. The aim of this partnership is not simply to talk to each other once a problem has arisen. It is to share information from the outset and to review and execute each case as one integrated effort.


Junnosuke Kurachi, CEO of BizWings, is registered with Athena Tax Corporation as an affiliated certified tax accountant under Japan's tax accountant system. This partnership formalises the working relationship the two firms have built and sets it out as a structured support system.


Athena Tax Corporation combines cloud accounting, management accounting, tax services, bookkeeping and international tax to provide hands-on support for its clients' back office in Japan. The two firms' support philosophies are closely aligned. We do not simply divide responsibilities by area of expertise; we also work together to put systems in place so that our clients' operations run smoothly. Athena Tax Corporation is based in Fukuoka, a gateway city for exchange with the rest of Asia, and both firms aim to support corporate expansion from Kyushu to Thailand and from Thailand to Kyushu.


BizWings (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is also an independent member firm of PrimeGlobal, an international association of independent accounting and advisory firms. This partnership builds on that network to establish a framework for continuous collaboration on projects between Japan and Thailand.


Through this partnership, the two firms will primarily address consultations such as:


  • Evaluation of corporate structures and investment frameworks for entering the Thai market, together with the resulting tax implications in Japan.

  • Alignment of bookkeeping and tax filings for Thai subsidiaries with the accounting and tax treatments of their Japanese parent companies.

  • Management of transfer pricing, dividends, interest, royalties, withholding taxes and tax treaties.

  • Payroll, personal income tax and visa/work permit matters for expatriate employees in both Japan and Thailand.

  • Establishment of Thai corporations, hiring of local staff and back-office setup.
